More than 200 bodybuilders from 16 countries flexed for prizes at the Thailand Muscle and Physique Championships held February 24-25 in Pattaya.

Sukree Supawareekul, president of the Bodybuilding and Fitness Association of Thailand, opened the second-annual tournament at Royal Garden Plaza in front of a large crowd of onlookers.

The weightlifters, which this year included university students, competed in eight weight classes from 65-80+ kilograms and, for women, by height, under and over 164 centimeters.

Two Thai musclemen – Khuntan Puangpethc, gold medal winner in the Asia Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships in South Korea, and Apichai Wandee, another gold medalist in a similar completion in Mongolia – finished first and second in the 80+ kilograms bracket.
