PSC golf from Mulligans Lakeside
Tuesday, Oct. 9, Pleasant Valley – Stableford
Tuesday was a re-visit to Pleasant Valley – we had been there recently but with the PSC monthly scheduled for Friday we considered it good planning to familiarize ourselves with the venue.
Despite all the recent rains and the club’s directive to keep carts on the path, we found the course was in reasonable condition, opting to play the ball as it lay. No stories of mud on the ball etc were forthcoming and few casual water drops were required.
Brian Maddox (21) had a return to form this week, edging Clive Hoseason (24) on count back 20/18, after both signed for a creditable 36 points. Near pins were picked up by Bruce, Jeff & Brian.
Thursday, Oct. 11, Greenwood – Stableford
Greenwood was the venue for Thursday’s game, the A & C combination being our test of the day. The course was again in decent condition, so we played the ball as it lay, but kept the carts off the fairways to protect the course.

Clive Hoseason (24) with 33 points gained some revenge over Brian Maddox (21) 32 points, while near pins were also secured by Jeff, Clive & Brian.
Our trip to Pleasant Valley on Tuesday paid off for the Mulligans Lakeside crew at the PSC monthly event on Friday, with Clive maintaining his form to record 39 points for third place in D Flight, while Jeff shot 73 to win the Low Gross and get a near pin on Hole #17.
The course was much wetter on Friday, with ‘lift, clean & place’ being implemented and casual water drops required on several holes.
Note: Mulligans Lakeside plays golf generally on Tuesday & Thursday, with ML hosting prompt presentations on both days.
