PSC Golf from The Growling Swan
Monday, Dec. 31, Pleasant Valley – Stableford
We were playing Pleasant Valley today the course was in good condition with cut fairways, greens that ran true and the bunkers clean and raked. The weather played in the golfers’ favor with a breeze for the first nine and cloud cover for the second making things rather enjoyable.
Today’s winner was Keith Buchanan returning with a very good of 42 points. We only had the one placing but we did include all the novelties with the near pins going to Mark Stapleton (x2), and Keith Buchanan, and the long putts snared by Keith Buchanan and Dave Maw.

Nineteen golfers committed to have a crack at Treasure Hill today. What a great course this is and one would have to say what a great price too.
The layout was in good condition, as you would expect nothing less from this venue. Fairways were in great shape, the greens played true but a little fast, and all the bunkers were clean and raked. We went from the yellow tees which may have been a little short on the day, but you don’t know until you have a go.
It turned out to be a log-jam at the top of the leader board after three golfers returned with the same scores, but our trusty countback system sorted it all out. All three returned with 39 points but it was Tony Cook that took the honors ahead of Mark Stapleton in second and Colin Stielow third. In fourth place was JC Lhoste only 2 shots behind the pack, JC edging Allan Ray on another countback.
