The competition for golfer of the month is getting interesting with any one of half a dozen golfers in with a shout including Barry Murning who did his chances a power of good by winning today at Treasure Hill!  Mashi came second keeping him within striking distance and Swede Orjan Suenningsson got in the frame for a pleasant change.

Wednesday, July 20, Pattaya C.C. – Stableford

The Bunker Boy’s have returned to Pattaya Country Club recently after a lengthy absence and what a pleasant change there has been with the course in very good condition and the staff more friendly than ever!

Count-backs decided all the places today; four players finished with 36 points, Orjan Suenningsson, Lee Butler, Geoff Cox and Colin Greig, with Orjan and Lee having the better back nine to take third and fourth places respectively.  Peter Habgood edged out William Macey also on a count-back to win on the day.

Friday, July 22, The Emerald – Stableford

With only three games to play in July, Lee Butler brought himself back into contention for the golfer of the month title by winning today with a superb round of 40 stableford points to win by two points ahead of Tony Robbins, who beat Geoff Cox on a count-back.  Tony’s second place also keeps him in touch with the leaders in the monthly competition along with about four other golfers.
