3rd Tony Robbins (16) 32pts
Near Pins:-Michael Brett, Gerry Cooney, Steve Durey.
There was a good turnout for this venue which was very good value and in top notch condition with well mowed fairways and consistent greens, however it also had some thick rough which proved a challenge for wayward shots.
Ross Schifke was the only player to play to his handicap, even though he did have one blank. Next best were Gerry Cooney and Tony Robbins who did not challenge for top spot.
Neil Carter thought he was in with a chance, after all except the last fourball handed in their cards, only to find he had been relegated to fourth place.
The par threes were difficult and not too many were able to find the greens and only three of the four were claimed.
Wednesday, Oct. 26, Pattaya C.C. (blue tees) – Stableford
1st Jimmy Carr (18) 35pts
2nd Peter Allen (30) 35pts
3rd Neil Carter (14) 35pts
Near Pins: Gordon Melia, Neil Carter, Steve Durey, Jimmy Carr.
It had been a while since we played this close and convenient course but a special offer persuaded us to change venues. We played off the blue tees, much to the disappointment of a lot of our members who feel that the long hitters have an unfair advantage.
Jimmy Carr, Peter Allen and Neil Carter all came in with 35 points with Jimmy winning the count back with 20 points on the back nine to Peter’s 19 and Neil’s 17. Neil had two wipes, one on a par three when he inadvertently hit off the wrong (white) tee and would have had a near pin,
The last fourball was most unfortunate to be caught in the storm on the last hole and were unable to complete their round.
We headed home only to find Sukhumvit and Third roads closed because of the accumulated water. This turned into a three hour journey and the road to the club was underwater so we went home.

Near perfect weather greeted the golfers who headed down the 7 to one of our favorite courses which was in great shape and this was proved by the large number of players who played to their handicaps. The best of these was once again Jimmy Carr who made it two in a row with his 39 points, including two birdies. He was followed by Geoff Parker and Gerry Cooney.
Gordon Melia, Geoff Cox and Neil Carter all played to their handicaps. Welcome back to Keith Norman who started slowly with 9 points only to come back in 22.
