PSC Golf Bunker Boys at The Ranch

Monday, April 11, Mt. Shadow – Stableford

1st Colin Gregg (11) 36pts

2nd Geoff Parker (14) 34pts

3rd Neil Carter (16) 31pts

Near Pins: Ross Schiffke, Rab McDonald (3)

The low season is upon us as we only had a turnout of 9 golfers for this popular venue, which is unfortunately suffering from the lack of rain at this time of year.  This however had no effect on the scores as Colin Greg managed to score 36 points and record the only level par score.  Also worthy of mention was that Rab McDonald who claimed three of the four near pins thanks to an impeccable short game.

Wednesday, April 13, Greenwood – Medal

1st Neil Carter (16) net 72

2nd Rab McDonald (18) net 73

3rd Colin Gregg (11) net 75

Near Pins: Mark Stanley, Jimmy Carr.

Most of the previous golfers returned for a duel at medal on the evergreen Greenwood course.  The trip down to the course finally saw the opening of both lanes on the 331and the lack of traffic through the industrial estate because of the holiday made it a pleasure on this route.

Neil Carter once again leapt to the front with a level par score on this testing layout, just edging out Rab McDonald one stroke back.  The greens were holding and running true so there were no complaints but the short holes proved challenging with only two of the near pins being claimed.

Friday, April 15, Royal Ratchaburi – Stableford

1st Les Cobban 36pts

2nd Mashi Kenayta 34pts

3rd Colin Gregg 33pts

Near Pins: Mark Stanley (2), Les Cobban, Ross Schiffer.

Twelve golfers left the Ranch early on this Friday to travel up to Kanchanaburi to play at courses in the area.  Our first stop en-route was at Royal Ratchaburi, which was in good condition with a marvelous setting between big forest covered hills.  Most fairways here are tree lined with some bordering on thick forest and with good use of the natural features.

Les Cobban was first out the starting gate and romped home with thirty six points.  Mark Stanley meanwhile claimed two of the near pins.
