Organizers of the Chiang Mai Golf Classic presented by PTT have announced the postponement of the US$750,000 Asian Tour tournament, scheduled to take place at the Alpine Golf Resort Chiangmai from July 3-6. The event, which was set to feature former Masters champion Charl Schwartzel, reigning Asian Tour number one Kiradech Aphibarnrat and 2013 USPGA champion Jason Dufner, will now be held at a later date this year.
Tournament organizers and former Chiang Mai Governor Wichien Puthiwinyoo are shown with the Chiang Mai Golf Classic trophy.
All sponsors of the event have expressed their full support and continued commitment towards the prestigious tournament which is aimed at promoting professional golf in Thailand as well as the city of Chiang Mai and Thailand.
The event was originally scheduled to be broadcast live on all four days on the Asian Tour’s global television platform.
