The Backyard Golf Society
The after game sit-down at the Emerald clubhouse has become a rather enjoyable even for The Backyard lads of late. Our resident baker, Owen ‘the Fudge Factor’ was up to his culinary activities again and we were served up large portions of a heavy chocolate cake last Friday, Nov. 18. It certainly is different to the 1 or 2 quick bevvies before heading down to the bars.
The winner of the stableford on the day was the aforementioned ‘Fudge Factor’ with 36 points and he also won the near-pin on the par-3, 15th hole.
‘Fudge’ was also the biggest winner in the skins with 9, while the returning Watthathwat won 6 and there were singles to ‘Who BRought Him’ and ‘Stitches’ Morgan.
