Chonburi Rotary goes bowling for charity

More than 80 bowlers helped the Rotary Club of Chonburi raise funds for a library and scholarships.

Club President Chamnote Plong-udom and past Rotary District 3340 Gov. Thongchai Lothrakanon opened the Oct. 8 tournament at PS Bowl in central Pattaya.

Thongchai said that the proceeds raised from the event will be used to fund a library for local youths as well as scholarships for children in rural areas.

Trophies were awarded to the top teams and for highest individual scores.

In the team competition, the first through third place were, respectively, Team DTK, Team COP and Bangpakong Electric Authority.

In the men’s bracket, “Waiwat” placed first with 736 points while “Pimrak” scored the same to win the women’s division.

“Boy” won the high-game score for the men with 236 pins, while the highest game score for women was 272, set by “Patarawadee”.
