The 11th staging of the colourful Chris Kays Memorial 10’s rugby festival will take place this coming weekend at Horseshoe Point in Pattaya with sixteen international and local teams, split into 4 pool groups, all set to battle it out for honours in the Cup, Bowl, Plate and Shield competitions.
To run concurrently with the senior tournament, there will also be an under 18’s rugby competition for the juniors staged at the same venue with eight teams taking part. The U 18’s tournament will be played from 16:00 to 19:00 on Saturday evening and will conclude between 08:00 and 10:00 on Sunday morning.

The Pattaya Rugby Festival has become one of the most prestigious competitions in the region and has earned a deserved reputation as a player and spectator friendly tournament. Disco music will be provided at the field and throughout the weekend by popular DJ Russell Jay and his Soundzgood Discotheques, and the tournament may also feature on live radio on Mix 88.5 FM.
The action begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday and concludes around 6 p.m. Sunday in what should be a memorable weekend festival of rugby that will feature almost 24 hours of entertaining rugby action over the two days.
Prior to the tournament there will be a players and friends get-together on Friday night (29th April) for a “welcoming party and training session” at The Tavern by the Sea in the Amari Orchid Resort.
Everyone is cordially invited to come along and enjoy what has become one if the highlights of the Pattaya sporting calendar and an event not to be missed. Proceeds from the tournament will go towards helping the Croston House Children’s Home in northern Thailand.
