Monday, Dec. 9, Green Valley (white tees) – Stableford

1st Chuck Anderson (9) 44pts

2nd Jeff Cordeiro (7) 40pts

3rd Grant Cadell (13) 39pts

Oh wow!  Chuck had his round of the year to cap off 2013 with an amazing 44 points at Green Valley.  It was “one of those days” last Monday for our buddy Chuck and the kind of day where you can do no wrong.  Even more amazing was the fact that he bogeyed the last 2 holes!

Jeff Cordeiro and Grant Cadell were there to cheer him on and they both also got their game together for another couple of great scores.  Great shooting guys!

Wednesday, Dec. 11, Khao Kheow (white tees) – Stableford

1st Ken Aihara (5) 38pts

2nd Mark Wood (9) 37pts

Another perfect day for golf in paradise and a visit to the best Pete Dye course in Asia.  Khao Kheow is always a favourite track for the lads so we left with a full sheet of 24 of Pattaya’s finest to take on this tricky course.

Mark Wood and Kenny Aihara were the 2 best golfers of the day and went head to head to finish with a mere one point spread on 37 and a 38 for Kenny.

Today we had an experiment with the over 60’s and Silver Tees.  As it turned out, we chose the wrong course as there are no official Silver Tees here at Khao Kheow and when Billy turned in a card with 50 points, it was obviously up for re-evaluation!  To his credit Bill, shot a great round of golf and was rewarded for it, but further testing is to be done so that golfers over 60 years old and over a 20 handicap have their fair chance in our competitions.  Stay tuned for more details as we continue to test this new format.

Friday, Dec. 13, Greenwood  (white tees) – Stableford

1st Martin Zimmerman (14) 41pts

2nd Muffy Kerr (12) 38pts

T3rd Ken Aihara (5) 36pts

T3rd Peter Rogers (22) 36pts

The great Greenwood was our destination down the 331 on this beautiful December morning.  This course has 27 holes and we are happy to play any 18 on this track as they are all that good.

I guess a lot of lads had no superstitions about playing on Friday the 13th, and certainly not Martin Zimmerman.  His 41 points has been long overdue, but now that he can get a decent night’s sleep he just may be a formidable player!  Nothing worse than that late-night karaoke booming, eh?

The resplendent Muffy Kerr was right behind on 38 points and steady Kenny tied with Peter Rogers on 36 points.  Peter plays off 22, so please don’t think we only have low handicappers that play here.  Hey, we welcome all handicaps so come on out and join us for some great golf.  Don’t worry, you will fit right in here, especially after a few beers!

Thanks to all who joined us for another great week of golf in paradise.

Note:  The Golf Club is located on Soi LK Metro.  We try to schedule summer “Sports Days”, so come join us for a seriously fun day out.  Just call 085 434 3377 or see our website www.golfclubpattaya .com and for more information mail us: pattaya4golf @gmail.com and see updates at www.facebook.com/golfclubpattaya… all handicaps welcome!
