City hosts walk-run on Visaka Bucha Day

Over 400 exercise buffs laced up their running shoes for a walk-run event around Pratamnak Hill on May 29 to mark Visaka Bucha Day.

Starting from the Pattaya Tourist Police Station, participants had an option of competing in a 5km run or a more leisurely 3km stroll around the Big Buddha hill.

The event was separated into 4 different categories including men/women 25 years old and under and 46 years old up men/women. There was also a special category for students. Roads around the hill, from the bridge area were closed for the duration of the run.

Winners in each category were presented with trophies in recognition of their endeavors while everyone who took part received a commemorative medal.
