Bangkok Casuals Football League 2013

Pattaya City FC were on their travels to play another mid-table fixture last weekend against the Scans in Bangkok.

City started well and in an open game there were chances created at both ends of the field but neither team could find the finishing touch in an entertaining half of football that remained goalless at the break.  City came closest to scoring when new signing Alex Caliskan’s volley hit the bar and was cleared to safety.

City could count themselves unfortunate again at the start of the second half when the tireless Emery’s curling shot also hit the underside of the Scans bar and a further good scoring opportunity was missed by Paul Fox.

With luck seemingly not on City’s side today, it appeared inevitable that their opponents would be the ones to make the breakthrough and they duly obliged from a direct free-kick that the City keeper got a hand to but could not prevent from crossing the goal line.

City’s response was immediate with Bryant having a shot saved at the other end and they put the hosts on the back foot for sustained periods of play but just couldn’t buy a goal today.  The final score saw the Scans taking maximum points with a 1-0 win.
