The pineapple course was in great nick as always and given the pricing we were given on this Public Holiday it made everyone a winner regardless of their score.  With 16 golfers we played one division and Colm Lawlor sorted the field out, returning to the judges with a fine 39 points on his card.  One could say he left his best to last as Colm was playing his final round of this trip.

Two shots back of the winner was JC Lhoste who has hit a purple patch and is playing golf better than ever.  Third was Keith Buchanan, with John Coetzee taking fourth spot via the count back system and knocking both Mashi and Gordon out of the podium places.

Fourteen brave combatants headed up the highway to play Crystal Bay, one of our favorite courses.  Weather wise it looked as though we were in for a good day with pleasant conditions.

The course was in good nick as we have come to expect from this venue, hence being one of our favorite venues. The day was set and from the yellow tees it was to be a game with some very good scores.

John Coetzee, playing in his last game with us, came out with both guns blazing, scoring 20 points on the front nine and followed that up with 26 on the back nine.  Hard to beat 46 points!  Second past the post was Alex Field with another good score of 40 points and it was ‘Buffalo’ Bill Steinmann making it into third.
