There was no forecast of rain in the area here today but it looked a bit stormy in the background, however all 7 groups got round with no problem.
It was a tough test of golf out there off the yellow tees, but with 36 points off the silver tees Jim Connelly won division 2 with 36 points. Seven points behind was Theo Bahrt is second, Bert Jumelet took third on 28 and Harry Vincenzi beat Andres Van De Laan on a 14/12 back nine count-back to take fifth place after they both came in with 27 points.
The Bristol boy Bob Poole won division 1 with 34 points, Per Forsberg came second on 32 and in his last game with us, Pete Sumer signed off with a third place on 30 points. Buffalo boy John Hughes beat Paul Butler 14/12 on count-back to take fourth spot after they came in with 29 points each.
Near pins went to (Div 1) Paul Butler and Bob Poole, and (Div 2) Shane Tutton, Andres Van De Laan and Harry Vincenzi.
Bob Poole birdied the 17th hole in division 1 and Jim Connelly and Shane Tutton both got ‘2’s on the 6th in division 2.
This was our only game of the week after being washed out at Parichat on Wednesday and Eastern Star on Friday.
