Tuesday, Oct. 18, Pleasant Valley – Stableford
What did everybody have for breakfast? Because I want some of the same. It was a very high scoring day here at Pleasant Valley with the entire field playing within a couple of shots of their handicaps and half a dozen of them playing well below par.
Roy Dayton came out on top of the pile with 42 points from Eric Reginilssen while husband and wife Bryan and Ning Neal battled it out for third place, Bryan once again beating his lovely wife on a back nine count back (I hope he enjoys his burnt dinner tonight).

Thursday, Oct. 20, Crystal Bay – Stableford
We arrived here today and found that we had the course to ourselves so no hold-ups. Also the management wisely had a special promotion on golf carts, only 300 baht so most of us took advantage of this and took one and this resulted in a less than 3½ hour round. The course was also in great shape considering all the rain we have had.
The two Richards were the winners today playing together and trying to out-drive each other on every single hole (I wish I had been in their four-ball to see them both flexing their muscles on the tee). Third place went to John Little on count back and fourth spot was taken by the recently returned Frank ‘the Bank’ Riley from the ‘bus driver’ Shane Ruddle, also on a back nine count back.
Near pins went to Roger Rees, Richard Hurley (2) and Sean Hartley.
