Tuesday, April 17, Pleasant Valley – Stableford
On Tuesday we went to Pleasant Valley on a cloudy day with a black sky, but we were lucky to have only one short shower. The course was in good condition and the weather was not too hot. We had an enjoyable game and finished just before the rain started pouring down.
Dave Smith was the most consistent and won with 34 points while Sam Gettinby came second with 32.
The near pins went to Dave Smith, Paul Davies and Neil Harvey (2).
Thursday, April 19, Treasure Hill – Stableford
Treasure Hill was our venue on Thursday and once again we were lucky with the weather. The course was in perfect condition but many of us had problems with all the trees in the fairways.
Today Paddy Devereux showed his good form and won with 42 stable ford points, including a beautiful birdie on the second hole par 3. Second was again Sam Gettinby with 32 points.
The near pins were claimed by Paddy Devereux, Brian Chapman and Sam Gettinby.
