Dicey Riley Irish Pub on Pattaya 2nd Road is currently hosting the inaugural Pattaya hotelier 8-ball pool competition, running from July 10-25.
13 hotels have signed up to take part this first year, including among others Siam Bayshore Hotel, Sunshine Hotel, Siam Bayview, Markland Hotel, Sheraton Hotel, and the Monthien Hotel. A total of 24 individual players from these establishments are vying for the top prizes on offer.
Trophies await the winners of the 2013 Pattaya Hotelier Pool Tournament.
The winner of the tournament will receive 7,000 baht and the champion’s trophy while second and third place finishers will be awarded 5,000 and 3,000 baht respectively. Players will face off in best of 5 frame knockout matches with the winners progressing to the next rounds. The main draw was held at a press conference held at the Marriott Resort and Spa, Pattaya on July 3 to announce details of the event.
The tournament is being staged to help engender amicable relations between members of the hospitality sector in the region and is open to anyone working within the industry.
