Pattaya United secured what may yet prove to be a vital point against Songkhla in a 2-2 draw at the Nongprue Stadium in Pattaya last Sunday while relegation rivals Chaingrai were beaten 3-0 at Chonburi.

United fell behind to the visitors in the 38th minute as Manop found space in the Pattaya defence to head home at the far post.  But the lead would last barely 2 minutes as Kriangkhai Pimrat fired home an equalizer for the Dolphins from 15 yards out.

The home team missed a chance to take the lead in the early stages of the second half as Sutthisa’s penalty kick flew back off the Songkhla crossbar and out to safety, but United were not to be denied in the 75th minute as Dyachanko’s header was deflected into the far corner of the net to give the hosts a 2-1 advantage.

United were however unable to hold out the remaining minutes of the match and Darko fired in a superb free kick for Songkhla to tie up the scores at 2-2.

Pattaya United’s next match is on Sunday Oct. 20 away at league leaders Buriram FC.
