Sunday, April 28, Green Valley (white tees) – Stableford
Another hot day today at Green Valley, where although the greens are still not fully recovered from the recent pole forking and sanding, the course is otherwise in very good condition. Quiet today, especially for a Sunday, and we got round quickly.
Charlie Sheppard was the man of the match today with an excellent 39pts to finish ahead of Vincent Gros who came second on count back over Alec Hoare.

Tuesday, April 30, Bangpra (white tees) – Stableford
An extremely hot day today at Bangpra; it was a bit uncomfortable actually for golf. Between the heat and with a lot of the tees placed well back and the course playing long, the scoring wasn’t very good today. John Batty was the winner with 33pts followed in by Joe McArdle just one back.
There were no 2’s today so the pot carried on to Thursday.

Thursday, April 2, Burapha (blue tees) – Stableford
The challenge was Burapha today, where we played the A and C courses. The course in beautiful condition and the greens on A absolutely beautiful and fast, but unfortunately when we went to C they had been pole forked and sanded so not so good. However, it didn’t stop one of our players from having an excellent score.
Brian Dore.
Despite having a few three-putts on the C course, Brian Dore went round in one over par 73 gross, which on such a long difficult course was an exceptional score. Brian was playing his last game for this trip so he will bring happy memories of his golf back to Ireland with him.
John Batty was second with 37pts and Joe Peters thought he had done enough to win with 35pts on such a long course, but only managed to come third.
Tony Pike had the only 2 of the day.
