A small group of Cafe Kronborg golfers played today at the “windmill” course. Although our hearts were yearning the windmill did not keep on turning – and in fact it did not move at all – but this did not prevent Daryl Evans from winning again.
The previous week Daryl won the ‘B’ Flight at Pattavia but today he stepped up to the plate and won the ‘A’ Flight by two shots, leaving the ‘B’ Flight to Peter Hammond who won by six shots.
This was our first outing this year playing under the new golf rules. We welcomed grounding our clubs in old fashioned hazards and hitting ourselves with the ball without penalty – but there were a few moans and groans having to bend down and look ridiculous when dropping a ball from knee height- and understanding that a penalty area really does relate to golf.
