Monday, August 26, Green Valley (white/silver tees) – Stableford

1st Gary Emmett (17) 39pts

2nd Brian Prudden (19) 39pts

3rd John Pierell (12) 36pts

A fine sunny morning greeted us for our regular venue of Green Valley every Monday at 9:27.  It was an easy drive out and the course was in the usual great condition, albeit it a bit dry.  That is not unusual, as most course now are feeling the dry spell a wee bit but we should get it while we can as September is traditionally the wettest month for rainfall in Pattaya.

It turned out to be a fine day as well for our Aussie mate Gary Emmett.  Gary had one of his best rounds in a while with 39 points to share the win with fellow Antipodean Brian Prudden, playing off the Silver tees.  The travelling golfer John Pierrel took third place on the day.

Wednesday, August 28, Khao Kheow (white tees) – 2-Man Scramble

We had what is starting to become a monthly tradition, a 2-man scramble… but with a Rainbow thrown in.  This is a great way to add a whole new element to a golf course you thought you were familiar with.  You get to choose 6 red, 6 yellow and 6 blue tees and this selection is very much a part of the strategy of a Rainbow comp.

Jimmy Dundon and John Pierrel ham & cheesed it (another important part of the game) and walked away with the comp to claim victory for this month’s scramble.  Well played boys!
