PSC Golf from Siam Country Resort Pattaya
Tuesday, Dec. 22, Mt. Shadow – Stableford
On Tuesday we went with 3 groups to Mountain Shadow. It was for the time being the last game for Dutchman Joop Bijsterbosch (H/cap 32) on his holiday here and he promised in advance that he wanted to show his progress of the last few weeks.
The course was in fair condition, but the greens were not as good as usual. We enjoyed our game and had average scores today.
Joop Bijsterbosch delivered on his promise and won with 38 points while a full five points behind was Willem Lasonder (20) in second place.
The near pin prizes went to Paddy Devereux and Willem Lasonder.

Thursday, Dec. 24, Pattavia – Stableford
We took the 331 up to Pattavia on Thursday. The road is still a disaster but you are rewarded by the course when you get there as it is currently in excellent condition, the greens being fair but always difficult. It was really enjoyable and we had some good scores today.
The winner was Willem Lasonder with 40 points ahead of Jonathan Pratt (11) in second with 38 and George Gamble (24) taking third on a coint back over Paddy Devereux, both tied on 37 points overall.
The near pins were claimed by Paddy Devereux, Jan Groeneveld (with two), and Willem Lasonder.
Note: Siam Country Resort Pattaya, Restaurant & Bar is located just off Siam Country Club Rd, after going under the arch past the 7/11, turn right after 50 meters, with the venue on the left another 200 meters along. Golf from here is generally played on Tuesday & Thursday, with the Resort hosting prompt presentations on both days.
