The 9th Chairman’s Cup golf tournament is being staged at Eastern Star Country Club & Resort from now until the end of October, with the first round taking place this Saturday, June 23 with an already fully booked-up entry list.
The Chairman’s Cup features 5 qualifying rounds followed by a finals day on October 15, with the top three golfers being treated to a paid trip to Siem Reap in Cambodia for a 2-day golfing holiday.
The cost of entry into each round of the Chairman’s Cup is 1500 baht and includes green fee at Eastern Star golf course, caddy fee, and dinner following the round. Members of Eastern Star can play for just 1000 baht while golfers who pay upfront can get a special green fee to play unlimited practice rounds at Eastern Star at a cost of just 500 baht on weekdays and 700 baht at weekends.
The format for the event is singles stableford using the 36 system handicapping (maximum 24). One hundred and fifty golfers from 30 winners and lucky draw recipients of each round will qualify for the final in October.
The next round open for entry takes place on July 28, with subsequent qualifying rounds being held on August 18, September 8 and October 6.
