Monday, Feb. 9, Pattavia –Stableford
No problems here with our allocated tee time of 9.30 and all eight groups went out spot on time. The two divisional cut was set at 8-17 and 18+ in division 2 and there were two 38s coming in to win both divisions. Barney Sheedy shot one of those scores to win division 1 ahead of Edward Bourne in second on c/b over Barry Stirling, both with 34 points each.
Cliff Elliott recorded his best score ever (38) to win division 2 from Rod Howett in second on 35 and Alan Bissell beat little David Taylor 20/16 on the back nine for third place after they both tied come in with 34 points.

Near pins went to (Div 1) Ted Lodge (2) and Barney Sheedy, and (Div 2) Alan Bissell, Rod Howett, John James and Burnie Sinclair.
David Horne and Dennis Scougall birdied the 4th to split the ‘2’s pot in division 1 while Matti Pihlajistyo (7th) and Alan Bissell (13th) did the same in division 2.
Thursday, Feb. 12, Plutaluang – Stableford
A late switch from our normal Wednesday game to today and there were only five groups out, with the cut in the two divisions at 8-17 and 18+. We teed off 15 minutes ahead of schedule and it was a tough test of golf out there today.
Playing off 8, Niels Viuff returned the best score of the day to win division 1 with 35 points and Dennis Scougall came in second after beating Pete Sumner on count back, both locked on 31 points each.
Mike Fitzgerald’s lowly 30 points was enough to win division 2, with Alan Bissell in second on 28 and Magne Gunnarson third with 27.
Near pins were claimed by (Div 1) Pete Sumner, Niels Viuuf (2) and Chris Voller, and (Div 2) Matti Pihlajisto and Barry Stirling.
Pete Sumner birdied the 3rd on the West course for the only ‘2’ of the day.
Friday, Feb. 13, Eastern Star – Stableford
Our normal ten groups out and yet again another slow round here, with half a dozen couples out in front (and they weren’t Koreans).
Barry Stirling, playing off 18, won division 2 with the best score of the day, 38 points, and Tony Thorne was some five points behind in second, beating Frank Kelly 17/16 on the back nine.

Bill Bertram topped division 1 with 37 points and again five points behind was Pete Sumner who beat Chris Voller 7/6 on the back three holes for second. Dennis Scougall lost out with only 15 on the back nine.
Howard Stanley claimed division 3 spoils with 33 points and the organizer was second on 32, beating Max Wilson 20/15 on the back nine.
Near pins went to (Div 1) Mikael Andersson, Colin Aspinall, David horne and Harry Vincenzi, and (Div 2) Jim Connelly, Andy Galvin, Don Head and Barry Stirling.
Colin Aspinall, Karl Flood and David Horne split the ‘2’s pot in division while Jim Connelly and Don Head did likewise in the second flight.
