Monday, May 23, Green Valley – Medal
1st John Emmerson (9) net 69
2nd Suzi Lawton (17) net 69
3rd Larry Maxey (19) net 69
4th Mark Wood (9) net 71
5th Kevin Moraghan (13) net 72
Twenty-six players assembled on Monday to challenge for the coveted monthly medal champion’s shirt. The greens had just been lightly sanded so the conditions would be difficult to say the least.
John Emmerson emerged the day’s eventual winner after the dreaded count-backs. John had a great 37 gross on the back to nudge out Suzi Lawton. Suzi in turn beat Larry Maxey on the back 9. Mark Wood finished alone in 4th with net 71. Kevin Moraghan had a net 72 for 5th overall.
Next month we will be at Phoenix on June 29 for the monthly medal.

Wednesday seems to be the rainy day for golf; 15 signed up but only 8 were brave enough for the conditions. We left Pattaya in the drizzle but arrived at Pattana to sunny skies. We managed 12 holes before the skies opened but luckily we were conveniently at a drink stop. Just a 30 min delay and then we carried on.
Jack Spencer handled the B & C layouts the best on this day and won the comp with 35 points. Michael Mier was second on 31 and Jim Sykes took third.
Thanks to the lads that did participate.
Friday, May 27, Greenwood – Stableford
1st Brad Sproxton (12) 36pts
2nd Mark Wood (9) 32pts
3rd Paul Smith (1) 31pts
We are definitely in low season mode with today just 8 players turning up. We started on C course and finished on B and Brad Sproxton scrambled well and finished on top of the frame with 36 points.
Mark Wood left a few putts hanging on the lip and finished second on 32 points while Paul Smith was alone in third on 31.
The conditions were fantastic, especially the greens on B. Thanks again to those that attended.
Note: The Golf Club is located on Soi LK Metro between Soi Diana and Soi Buakhao. We offer golf outings every Mon/Wed & Friday leaving from The Golf Club.
