Garden International School is to host a major international sporting event

The Group C Primary FOBISSEA games will be held at Garden International School (GIS) from June 5-8. This mini-Olympics will see students competing from schools in Nepal, Malaysia and Vietnam. It will be an exciting time for all the children in GIS, particularly those who are in Years 4, 5 and 6 and especially for those children who are competing in the various sporting events.

The school, which is based in Ban Chang, Rayong, now has a full team of primary students ready to compete in various sporting events.

Several fundraising events, such as a sponsored swim, disco, sporting mufti day and a ‘Beat the Keeper’ contest, will be held next term, and there will be a meeting with the parents of participating students. The fundraisers will help keep the costs for parents to a minimum.

MBf Taylors has already generously agreed to sponsor the swimming kits and hats. GIS is also very grateful to the other sponsors: Crathco Ltd, Tanachart Bank and Alliance Insurance. There is still time if you would also like to sponsor the event, which is expected to gain national and international coverage.

If you or your company would like to help out, please contact Ms Lucy, who is coordinating the sponsorship, at [email protected], the Head of PE, Mr Edwards, at roberte@gardenrayong. com or Rob Grisdale at [email protected].
