Young Pattaya speedster Ben Fortt was recently entered in the 250cc and 450cc super motard motorbike races held at the Bangkok racing circuit on the 12th February.

Ben was riding his 250cc YZF Yamaha in the 250 class and put in a great performance, managing to win the race despite coming under pressure from some stiff opposition.

In the 450 event Ben was riding his Husqvarna SMR 450cc machine and this race included a couple of international riders in the line-up.  However, despite the quality of the field, Ben hit the front early to blow the opposition away and led for the entire length of the race.  With the 450 event featuring 2 races and encompassing the best overall results, Ben put up another great performance in the second heat and only lost by half a bike length to the very experienced rider Larry Baker from New Zealand, however with his race results he had done enough to secure first place in the standings.

Coming as it did on the same weekend as his 17th birthday this win gave Ben double reason to celebrate and he was awarded his trophies by none other than famous Thai tennis star Paradorn Srichaphan who is known to be a keen fan of motorbike racing.  Well done Ben!
