The Backyard Golf Society
It was another Friday, June 24, and another trip to Emerald Golf Course for the weekly outing of the Backyard Golf Society. With the Chairman and his boy turning up (for the first time in 3 weeks!), even though it looked as if the course would be busy, we got off on time and a nice steady round meant that we were back in the club house by 13:00.
As can be gathered from the headline, Geoff came in first with 37 points and Neville took second with 36, which could have been completely different if he hadn’t picked his ball up on the 4th hole.

‘Broken Wing’ took the nearest the pin prize with the skin results as follows: Neville (8), Terry with 2 rollovers from the week before (7), Geoff (3) and Dangle (2).
Finally we wish Geoff and his misses a safe trip to the UK and welcome Alan B back with all of us looking forward to celebrating his birthday with him next week.
