The final game of the year for the Backyard Golf Society at the Emerald Golf Course started out with everyone in high spirits until arriving at the course. With the car park three quarters full you could just tell it was going to be a very slow round.
We welcomed Kit as the newest member of the society and started with nine players, all of whom were in all competitions.
As expected it was very slow going but obviously the speed of the round suited Geoff as he ended up winning with 41 points! Neville missed out on the win (even with a very creditable 38 points) but more than made up for it in the skins competition by taking (12).
Geoff celebrates his win outside Kisses Bar.
JJ won nearest the pin with the other skin results as follows: Geoff (2), Bob G (2), Kit (1), and one rollover to next week.
One final piece of news for the year is that since the formation of the society, ‘Broken Wing’ has been our Chairman but has now decided to relinquish his responsibility to a younger man! So good luck Terry C and you will need it.
