Beaver Bar Golf Society
A change of date to Thursday, 23 May, due to the Friday holiday saw all those attending the weekly Beaver Bar golf outing faced with heavy sand on the front nine at Emerald. Prior knowledge of this and knowing the back nine was free of sand made it an enjoyable trial.
Despite the sanding, there were several players who posted quite decent scores. Larry Willett and Paul Smets both posted scores of 37 stableford points with Larry winning the day’s honors on a count back. Oliver Fritz took nearest to the pin prize on the difficult 13th hole.
After the golf, all retired to the Beaver Bar to wash the sand out of their throats. The Beaver Bar thanks all for their continued support.
