PSC Golf from Mulligans Lakeside
Tuesday, March 15, Pleasant Valley – Stableford
Tuesday was our usual monthly trip to Pleasant Valley, where the course just continues to improve. This relatively new course has come on in leaps and bounds over the past year or so and is a credit to all involved.
We had a little bit heat and humidity this day, but a light breeze helped keep the comfort level ok. Playing off the short tees, with a couple of longer ones thrown in, it was Jeff Wylie (8) who was to the fore, scoring a solid 40 points, with Jim Fortune (27) signing for 36 points to get the #2 slot.
Near pins were picked up by Stan & Frans, while Ian Hart got 2.
Thursday, March 17, Treasure Hill – Stableford
Thursday dawned cold (for Thailand) and witha hint of rain to go with it. However we were going to Treasure Hill, possibly the best overall golf course in the area which affords great value, a stern but fair test, and great conditions. Hard to beat that combination!
Today it was Ken Hole (16) who led the way with 32 points ahead of Jeff Wylie (8), who was a full 10 shots worse off than Tuesday with 30 points.

Near pins were shared amongst Frans, Rob and Ian, with one going to Banglamung Boys Home, after no-one was up to the challenge.
On Friday it was the PSC Charity Classic at Green Valley with a 3 teams representing Mulligans Lakeside. The course was in better nick than expected, after reading a couple of negative comments recently, and Dave Edwards (15) and John Chapman (23) did themselves proud to come in second, being edged on count-back, after signing for 48 points. The Mulligans group were well to the fore in the technicals, with Dave getting 2, John 1, and Jeff winning 2. All in all a pretty good result for the boys.
Note: Mulligans Lakeside plays golf generally on Tuesday & Thursday (we sometimes change to accommodate a Thai Holiday).
