PSC Golf from Billabong
Monday, Dec 9 Phoenix Gold, Ocean and Lakes Stableford
What great weather it is for golf at the moment. It’s been a long time coming, but it’s here now. Playing Phoenix Gold on the Ocean and Lakes sides, it was different Monday as no carts were allowed off the cart paths due to an upcoming professional tournament starting next week. Captain Cripple must be getting better as he walked with help of the team members and made the whole nine holes.
The course as you would expect was in magnificent condition with greens that were so fast they were excellent. The thinking was it would be a slower round than normal, was not justified as we were finished in just on four hours even with the cripple playing.
There was a count back for the minor placings with four golfers scoring 38 points, Dave Bramley and Paul O’Mahony missed out on the prizes with Thiery Petrement taking 3rd spot, Bob Scott taking 2nd and Francis Goyons taking first with 40 points.
There were four twos coming from Thiery Temime, Jean Pierre Gasser, Paul O’Mahony and Tim Knight who had a two for five points.
