The Pattaya Amateur Golf Series (March)
We went to Crystal Bay for this month’s Pattaya Amateur Golf Series which seemed to be a popular venue. The course was in great condition, weather it was fantastic but very, very hot and some players were even hotter.
We gained a couple of extra sponsors for this tournament which meant more prizes for the players. They were Punch & Judy Pub and Roman Golf Shop on 3rd Road. A total of 32 prizes were giving out to winning golfers and for those who didn’t win, a lucky draw back at Shenanigans awaited them. One notable winner here was Mark Ward who was over the moon at winning a one hour VIP massage from My Girl Massage.
Martin Grimoldby (right) was the low gross and A Flight winner at Crystal Bay.
On the golf course Martin Grimoldby stole the day with a birdie 3 on the last to post a great round of 73 Gross and took both Low Gross and A Flight honours. The colorful Pierre Bietry took B Flight with the most points of the day, a massive 41, and C Flight saw a past Order of Merit winner return to the winning circle in the form of Jan Johansson, with 35 points.
