PSC Golf from The Golf Club
Monday, April 4, Green Valley (white tees) – Stableford
T1st Peter LeNoury (13) 39pts
T1st Darren Boyle (21) 39pts
3rd Michael McCluskey (20) 37pts
The course was rough around the edges as it has been for the last few weeks. We have certainly seen Green Valley in better condition and hope it improves soon. That would be why we had such small numbers out there today, and only 4 tee times were required.
Peter LeNoury, Darren Boyle and Mike McCluskey back at TGC.
LeNoury is on fire! Peter seems to be getting back into his usual fine form and a 39 on his scorecard today took him to the top of the podium with Darren Boyle. Mike McCluskey did well to turn in his 37-pointer for third.
Tuesday, April 5, Silky Oak (white tees) – Stableford
1st Blake Hanna (18) 41pts
T2nd Michael McCluskey (20) 35pts
T2nd Kenny Aihara (5) 35pts
We got off right on time this morning and found not many others in front. The wind was a howlin’ and at times made a 2 club difference. The course was in fair condition but the greens were on the rough side to make matters worse.
Blake Hanna, Mark Atkinson and Alan Rothwell.
We saw Mike McCluskey right back up there again and this time shooting the same as Kenny Aihara, which is usually a pretty good thing. A pair of 35’s got them second place but Blake Hanna was the big story once again as another forty one points on the card blew away the field. By the time you read this Blake will be back in Canada to give the lads here a better chance of glory! Thanks for joining us Blake and hope to see you next year.
Thursday, April 7, St. Andrews (white tees) – Stableford
1st Mark Atkinson (16) 40pts
2nd Alan Rothwell (8) 36pts
3rd Blake Hanna (17) 35pts
This is such a great golf course and finally we have it back on our roster as Sports Day now kicks in. There was a bit of a breeze out here today but certainly a lot less than on Tuesday at Silky Oak. This week was dedicated to all 3 golf courses at this complex and for my money this layout at St. Andrews is the most interesting.
There he was again, Blake Hanna found his way back to the podium in his last round of golf on this trip to Pattaya. He won the Monthly Medal for March and has had the last 2 weeks of fantastic scoring to finish off his trip.
Stalwart Alan Rothwell equaled his handicap with the added distraction of loads of dental work on his mind (and mouth). If you recall, Mr. Rothwell had his best week of golf last week with all three rounds being 40 points or better!
The tourists took the day here today and Mark Atkinson was the best of the bunch with a solid 40 point round.
