PSC Golf from Siam Country Resort Pattaya
Tuesday, May 3, Greenwood – Stableford
It was another hot week for players and courses and on Tuesday we went off to Greenwood where, in spite of the dryness, the course still in a reasonable condition. We played with 2 groups and had an enjoyable day.
Neil Harvey (H/cap 15) and Tony Wakeling (17) kept cool heads as Neil emerged the winner with 38 points and Tony took second with 35.
The near pins proved to be elusive today and only one was claimed, by Jonathan Pratt.
Thursday, May 5, Rayong C.C. – Stableford
Looking out at the Rayong Country Club course it was as if we were on the South American pampas – there was far more brown grass then green. Nevertheless, the course was otherwise in reasonable condition.

We played with 2 groups and our second group ended up at the turn behind a six-ball. It is strange that the group didn’t let them pass but some players have a different interpretation of golf etiquette.
We had a close finish today and the winner was Jonathan Pratt with 37 points, beating Joop Bijsterbosch (H/cap 28) on count back.
The near pins went to Jonathan Pratt (three) and Willem Lasonder.
Note: Siam Country Resort Pattaya, Restaurant & Bar is located just off Siam Country Club Rd, after going under the arch past the 7/11, turn right after 50 meters, with the venue on the left another 200 meters along. Golf from here is generally played on Tuesday & Thursday, with the Resort hosting prompt presentations on both days.
