PSC Golf from Siam Country Resort
Tuesday, Oct. 6, Silky Oak – Scramble
On Tuesday we were invited to take part in a scramble at Silky Oak as an introduction for the course’s upgrade to 18 holes. It is a real improvement; the greens were very slow and need some extra attention but the course was good. We participated with 2 flights and enjoyed it very much. Unfortunately none of our players mansaged to fall in the prizes.
Meanwhile, one group went on Tuesday to Phoenix and Neil Harvey (H/cap 16) won with 35 stableford points.
Thursday, Oct. 8, Burapha – Stableford
Our venue was Burapha on Thursday and we played the A & B courses. The course was in good condition and the greens were good and fast. The weather was also nice and we had an enjoyable round.
Martin Hayes & Jonathan Pratt.
The player of the day was Martin Hayes (16), almost recovered from his jetlag, who scored 40 points. Jonathan Pratt (10) followed good with 38 stable ford points.
The near pin awards went to Jonathan Pratt, Martin Hayes and Willem Lasonder.
Note: Siam Country Resort, Restaurant & Bar is located just off Siam Country Club Rd, after going under the arch past the 7/11, turn right after 50 meters, with the venue on the left another 200 meters along. Golf from here is generally played on Tuesday & Thursday, with the Resort hosting prompt presentations on both days.
