PSC Golf from The Caddy Shack

Tuesday, March 17, Mt. Shadow – Stableford

Tuesday saw the group visit Mountain Shadow, where we played from the Blue Tees at around 6200 yards.  The weather has well and truly warmed up of late, and with only a light breeze to keep the humidity down, the need for hydration is paramount.

The course was in reasonable condition, although the greens are nowhere near their pace of the past.  Jeff Wylie (h/cap 7) coped best with the course to sign for 34 points, while Dan Oshiro (20) played well in patches to finish off with 32 points.  Dan and Jason got the near pins.

Thursday, March 19, Treasure Hill – Stableford

Although Tuesday was St Patrick’s Day, Sean Soden (h/cap 26) waited until Thursday to celebrate on the golf course.  We played Treasure Hill on this day, from the Yellow Tees at about 6300 yards, with the course in good condition overall.  Again it was hot and sticky weather conditions, making concentration over 18 holes a challenge.

Jason Barnett and Sean Soden with Mick.

As touched on earlier, it was Sean leading the way home with a fine 37 points, edging Jason Barnett (4), who played some fine golf for his 36 points, into 2nd spot.  To further reinforce Jason’s fine form, he claimed 3 near pins while Chris grabbed the other.
