She spread her wings and literally flew around the course. Jan Thorn, a diminutive Thai Miss was on the game today, winging in with a 41-pointer to take not only first place but also the trophy for January.
Tied with Jan was Rod Ishii, also with a 41, but losing to Jan on the count back. Jan is a familiar sight in the weekly postings but always as a second. Not today!

Next closest, and hopefuls until Jan and Rod came in, were Paul Kraft and Kevin Worl with 38 apiece. Ed Kristianson slid in with a 37 and was then off to home in Canada.
This 25th of January found the Pattaya Country Club course in really good condition. A couple of the tee boxes were a bit sandy but grass could still be found.
Back at Caddy Shack II, Herbie ‘the sleeper’ Isinaga provided the usual snacks of pretzels, chips and peanuts as well the three types of hot dogs. Everyone had a good time, particularly Paul Donahue, returning after a year’s absence for cancer treatments and recuperation, who came in with only 20 points. Paul said it was putter failure.
