Sea fishing from Bangsaray
After a long illness it was good to see Bob Jepson back on board once again to sail out to the lovely blue yonder on our most recent fishing trip. Although the size of the catches was not very big, the quantity of snapper, grouper and others ensured all passengers enjoyed a super day on the ocean.
The sea was as calm as you could wish for, which made it a little warmer than normal. However the wind picked up a little later in the afternoon, which helped to cool us down a little.
Bob Jepson is seen with the sponsors voucher from KPK Food Services Ltd for the best catch of the day.
There is no specific schedule for the future but if anyone is interested, please give me a call on 087 091 7565. Trips usually start at about 7.30 to 8.00 a.m. and return to Bangsaray by about 5.30 to 6.00 p.m. Any day can be arranged. All you have to do is provide your own transport to & from Bangsaray and your own food and drink for the day. All bait is supplied free and is inclusive of the charge. There is a cover charge for hire of rods and reels and other losable tackle however, if you have your own tackle then bring it along.
Charges are based on the cost of the boat divided by the amount of passengers, which usually ends up at between 1,500 to 2,000 baht per passenger. Tips for the skipper and his mate are extra also.
No more than 7 people fishing is allowed which gives everyone ample space without getting in each other’s way. The boat is about 65 feet long and has many amenities on board such as a European bathroom, kitchen with cooking and coffee making facilities, and a rest area on the top deck with relaxer beds for a little respite from the fishing if required. There are large ice box containers to keep food and drink fresh for the day.
