There was a good turnout this 25th of April at Burapha Golf Club. Some 11 players challenged the A and B course in what had to be one of the many hot days we are experiencing in the area.
Everyone had carts but except for one Yellow flag no one was allowed to drive on the fairway – Club rule is no carts on the fairway until 8 a.m. so it is likely that 8 a.m. will be the starting time next week.

The scores ranged from a high of 37 to a low of never mind. The course was in good shape but some of the roughs were rough. This seems to be in anticipation of an upcoming tournament.
Back at the Blue Moose refreshments were consumed by the thirsty players. A tally of the score cards showed Joe St Laurent coming in first with a 37 followed by Jim Hern and Richard Hall, both with 36 points. On count back Jim Hern won second place. This being the end of the month, the winner will have his name engraved on the trophy.
A footnote: On 23 Apr five Mooses? played the front 9 twice at the Pattaya Country Club. The course was in good condition with some repair underway at the tee boxes. Larry Emerson shocked himself and his fellow players on hole number 2 when his pitching wedge from 80 yards out plopped right into the hole for an Eagle. Way to go big Larry!
