On Wednesday, Nov 29 the Retreat lawn bowls center held a singles competition with Joe and Ian contesting the final. It’s was Joe’s first games for 18 months and he edged Ian out in a playoff.
Two days later on Friday a doubles competition took place with Sandy and Alan competing against John Mccann and John Parkinson in the final. It was a close match with a score of 12-12 and an extra end was required which saw Sandy and Alan winning on the last bowl.
Sunday Dec 3 saw 20 people contest the Sunday singles roll up. Eventually a play off ensued with Aaron, Brian Walker, John Parkinson, Barry Jones and Frank competing. There could only be one winner though and that turned out to be Frank.
