PSC Golf from Mulligans Lakeside
Tuesday, Jan. 31, Plutaluang – Stableford
Firstly to Tuesday, when we had a visit to Plutaluang for the first time for a while: I don’t know whether we were lucky or what, but we were able to play the East & South courses without any dramas of changeovers after 9 holes or delays in tee-offs.
The course was in the best condition I have seen for a few years, with the greens cut to a reasonable height, which allowed a decent roll of putts. Jeff Wylie (7) managed his way around the East course quite well before a few loose shots crept in on the South. He finished with 35 points to lead home Bob Edwards (9) with 33.

Near Pins were secured by Bob, Jeff & Graham, with 1 going to Banglamung Boys Home.
Thursday, Feb. 2, Pleasant Valley – Stableford
As the headline suggests, Thursday was a trip to Pleasant Valley – you know, the course that some people love to hate. Invariably I find the harshest critics are those that have been there and played poorly. News Flash! It’s not the course!
On this day the competition was played from the white tees, with some extraordinary scores being the result. Joel Flor (22) won the day on count back 24/21 from Clive Hoseason (29) after both signed for an outstanding 43 points. Both Joel and Clive have been struggling with their games lately, so it was good to see them gain some encouragement with good scores.
An honourable mention goes to Jimmy Fortune (27) who had his best game for a long time with 39 points. Our single figure handicappers played a Skins game from the blue tees as a warm-up for the upcoming PSC Tournament, with Jeff getting the nod.
