PSC golf from Siam Country Resort
Tuesday, June 3, Green Valley – Stableford
Tuesday saw a long awaited return to Green Valley, with the weather continuing to be hot & humid. The course was in generally decent condition, however there were several greens with patches of various grasses, not something you expect from a reputed top class course.
After getting off to a shaky start with 2 double bogeys, Jonathan Pratt (H/cap 10) may well be starting a charge to his goal of soon being on handicap 6, only time will tell. Meanwhile current 6-marker Jeff Wylie maintained his consistent play to record 38 points and gain second spot.

Near pins went to Maryin, Jonathan & Jeff with 2, with only Jonathan converting for his birdie 2.
Thursday, June 5, Pattana – Stableford
Pattana was our Thursday venue, with the B & C loops our allotted test. B1, arguably the most intimidating 1st hole in the area, took its usual toll on some of the boys, but Willem kicked off with a nice par.
The course was in good condition, few players on the course, and we just beat the storm to the finish. With a small field we varied the competition a little, incorporating a match play four-ball into the equation, together with the normal stableford competition.
Despite Neil Harvey (19) leading the way with 32 points, from Jeff (6) with 31, it was Jeff & Martin getting the best of Neil & Willem, 1 up. Certainly it was close all day, and some fun was had with good hearted sledging amongst the group before all headed back to SCR for a cold drink and some tucker.
Note: Siam Country Resort, Restaurant & Bar is located just off Siam Country Club Rd, after going under the arch past the 7/11, turn right after 50 metres, with the venue on the left another 200 metres along. Golf from here is generally played on Tuesday & Thursday, with the Resort hosting prompt presentations on both days.
