Despite some outstanding point totals the story of the day was JP Maffray and his hole in one on the par-3 fifth off the white tees. Almost everyone was delighted for JP except Ajit Amin. You see when JP removed his ball from the hole he placed the marker in the hole with the pin. Ajit playing in the next group hit his tee shot onto the green and the ball rolled up to the hole and hit the marker but stayed out!
In the daily competition Nick ‘Elvis’ Shaw hit all the right notes to return a man of the match and B flight winning 42 points. Nick was two clear of the tandem of Ian Pickles and Jimmy ‘A K 47’ Bell, with the scales of justice leaning in Ian’s favour.
A flight was won by the hole in one man JP Maffray with a solid 40 points, who by the way also had a near pin to add to his collection. JP was one stroke clear of Peter ‘the right honorable’ LeNoury and a further stroke clear of Peter Kelly.
Skipping down to the C flight it was Aiden Murray who was standing on the top step of the podium with 41 points. Colin ‘the Donkey’ Davis lifted the silver with an even par round, leaving Jez ‘the principle’ Lees in a daze wondering how his maths did not add up.

Pattavia was the host to the Lewiinski’s and Colin’s gang today and they found the course in excellent condition with the greens lightning fast – anything above the hole almost guaranteed a three-putt. The weather was warm with a nice breeze.
The A flight gang showed their quality by providing the two top scores of the day, as Steve Baker took the win and the man of the match honours with an excellent 43 points. Steve was four strokes clear of Walter O’Keefe as John O’Neill was left to tidy up the podium.

Bangpra and the resident monkeys welcomed the Lewiinski’s Golf Society and Colin’s Golf Society today. The course was in great shape and the greens were at their trickiest. The weather was hot and humid with a slight breeze.

Sean Soden was co-man of the match with a fine 38 points and was followed up the podium steps by Stuart Mann and Colin ‘the donkey’ Davis in that order.
Aussie ace Nick Odnoral stuck gold in A flight with his co-man of the match 38 points. Nick was six clear of the tandem of Jim Riley and Peter Wilson, with the former tacking the silver and a near pin to boot.
