Monday, July 20, Bangpakong – Stableford

2nd Walter Baechli (14) 30pts

Bangpakong was the game on Monday and we teed off in light rain the persisted for most of the day.  The course was sopping wet as and the tough playing conditions were reflected in the scores.

Jon Swanson won the day with just 31 points ahead of Walter Baechli in second one point behind and Nigel Perry placed third with 29.

Thursday, July 23, Mt. Shadow – Stableford

2nd Mark Bell (12) 38pts

3rd Jon Swanson (25) 36pts

4th Tom Cotton (21) 34pts

5th Karl Beter (30) 33pts

Mountain Shadow provided Thursday’s challenge and after an easy check-in we were off the first tee 20 minutes early under sunny skies and with a bit of wind.  The course was in good condition with fast greens.

Back in the clubhouse after a round of 4 hours and 15 minutes welcomes went out to Gary Bingham from the USA and Mikka Kuparinen from Finland, and a goodbye to Mark Bell, going back to his police duties in Australia.

Mashi Kaneta was the winner today with a fine 40 points while the soon to be leaving Mark Bell finished second on 38.  Monday’s winner Jon Swanson took third a further 2 points back while Tom Cotton (fourth) and Karl Beter (fifth) completed the podium.
