The world’s best jet-ski racers will face off in the annual King’s Cup Jet-Ski World Cup Grand Prix event this weekend, being held at Jomtien beach in Pattaya from December 3-7.
The fleet of high performance tuned-up jet-ski boats, some capable of accelerating from 0-100km/h in 6 seconds, will be piloted by a relative who’s who of the jet ski world including past champions Kevin Reiterer of Austria, Chris Macclugage of the USA and Britain’s James Bushell. Home supporters will be hanging their hopes on local favourites Chokuthit Molee and Chaowalit Kuajaroon of the Flamingo Jet Ski Team amongst others.

Registration and free practice were due to take place on Wednesday and Thursday with qualifying on Friday. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 6-7 are reserved for the main race days when the categories that will be contested include Pro Ski Open, Pro Sport GP, Pro R/A 800 Open, Pro Freestyle and Pro R/A Open.
The champions will once again be presented with the most coveted trophies in jet-ski racing, graciously donated by HM the King of Thailand. Entrance is free for all spectators who are encouraged to come along to Jomtien beach and witness this one of a kind event in Thailand.
