It was off to play a green course today for St. Patrick’s Day, up the 331 for 55 minutes to Greenwood and we got off on time under sunny skies and with a nice breeze.  The course was in fine condition but outside was very dry and there was evidence of many fires, even one towards Pattavia that threatened to overrun us on the B course.

We got around in 4 hours and 40 minutes and back in the clubhouse welcomes went out to Mark Erikson and Benny Andersen and some goodbyes to Kaj Aabling and Peter Bygballe, both going back to Denmark but returning in October.

Two flights today with the cut at handicap 19 and Leif Kirkgaard won the premier division with a superb 46 points to finish three clear of Peter Bygballe in second.  Doug Maiko and Henning Olsen were some way back in third and fourth respectively.

Mike Winfield stood atop the B flight with 38 points, one up on Steen Habersaat in second, with Kurt Sandgaard and Kaj Aabling filling the minor podium places.
