Sunday, March 19, Green Valley – Stableford

1st Peter LeNoury (14) 39pts

2nd Mick Beresford (22) 38pts

3rd Kevin McEntee (9) 35pts

A few of our regulars were missing today, due mainly to them being involved with much bigger things (and mainly Irish) groups and still suffering from the effects of the black stuff.  But we did have Kevin ‘the Co. Offaly gang leader’ play with us and he was glad he did as he picked up the bronze prize with 35 points.  Mickey ‘nine holes’ Beresford carried on where he left off last week and won the flight silver with a fair 38 point return, just one stroke short of the winner who was the ever-popular Peter ‘the right honorable LeNoury.

Monday, March 20, Treasure Hill – Stableford

1st Mick Pikos (19) 39pts

2nd Bob Fagan (25) 34pts

A small but talented group, due no doubt to our back to back playing days, left to Lewiinskis to play a stableford comp at the very scenic Treasure Hill.  The course, as always, was in great condition and the weather was very warm.  There were no hold-ups and the game was completed in less than four hours.

The in-form Mick Pikos was the man of the match a he posted a fine 39 points.  He was followed up the podium steps by the steady Bob Fagan on 34 points.

Wednesday, March 22, Khao Kheow – Stableford

1st Anne Stokes (15) 36pts

2nd Bob Stokes (15) 36pts

3rd Bob Fagan (22) 30pts

A small but happy crowd turned out to play the favourite of many, the beautiful Khao Kheow.  The course was in fine condition and the weather was warm with a little breeze.

There was no man of the match but there was a lady of the match, the belle of the bar Anne Stokes, but first she had to win a count back over her other half, Bob, as they were tied on even par rounds.  Bob Fagan rounded out the flight with 30 points.
