The Lion’s Club Pratamnak hosted a charity bowling tournament to support disadvantaged people with poor eyesight.
Club President Teerachai Antasarnsophon and former health minister Santsak Jamroon Ngampichet hosted the Jan. 15 tourney at Blu-O Rhythm & Bowl in The Avenue galleria.
Ten teams paid 2,000 baht each for a day that was more about helping the poor and promoting sports than winning. The 20,000 baht raised was supplemented by private donations made in envelopes by participants.
The funds will be used for a later event at which eyeglasses will be given to those in need.
